We finally got to see what exactly it is during Microsoft's E3 conference, with a full unveiling of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice arriving at the event. FromSoftware has repeatedly said that there were no plans for any more sequels to the developer's hit series at the moment be it Bloodborne or Dark Souls, but that didn't stop the die-hard fans from hoping for a surprise announcement regardless. The single-player game puts players in the protagonist role of a hard-hearted warrior whose mission is to rescue his master, a young lord who is the descendant of an ancient bloodline, and exact revenge on his arch nemesis.

Speaking of those two games, the gameplay in Sekiro Shadows Die Twice doesn't look too dissimilar to FromSoftware's signature look. As "Sekiro", or the "one-armed wolf", players will discover the many ways to strategically approach combat and engage enemies. With Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice many FromSoftware team members, including myself, are thrilled to be exploring themes of Sengoku Japan and ninja for the first time. It's slated for "early 2019", with a suggested retail price of $59.99.
