Eagles' coach Pederson on White House: 'What you've heard is enough'

Trump claims progress after 500 days Trump calls off Eagles' White House visit - Article

The White House actually said, "The vast majority of the Eagles team made a decision to abandon their fans". Unfortunately, only a small number of players chose to come, and we cancelled the event.

The Eagles' ranks contain several prominent figures from the National Football League player protest movement, and safety Malcolm Jenkins and defensive end Chris Long were among several who had already indicated they planned not to attend. I'm skipping this political stunt at the White House and just invited the Eagles to Congress.

On Tuesday, the first lady strolled into a White House event Monday for military families and swept away the wild speculation that she was incapacitated or had otherwise vanished.

The abrupt White House announcement came after almost the entire team said they meant to boycott the celebration that was scheduled to take place the next day.

Then, Monday night came around and Trump pulled Eagles' invitation, creating a firestorm that engulfed the Eagles locker room with a sea of reporters, more than 50 at a pre-practice press conference with Pederson and close to 100 in post-practice locker room availability. "According to the White House, there were only between four and ten players who were going to attend".

Trudeau said he would continue to stand up for Canadian dairy producers and the country's supply management system. Trudeau addressed the president's Twitter blasts while visiting Quebec's Saguenay region on Thursday.

We counted up the votes in the Eagles counties and Hillary Clinton outperformed Trump in the 22 counties where Eagles fans reign, receiving about 2.4 million votes compared to Trump who received about 1.5 million votes.

In response, the NFL has decided that players and teams will be fined if they kneel during national anthem from next season.

Lurie decided that a smaller contingent of players - of which, Garofolo says he was told would be less than 10 - would visit the White House before Trump called off the ceremony. The protests began in 2016 with former San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Over the course of the past year, Donald Trump has rallied against the NFL and players kneeling during the National Anthem, even calling the protesters "sons of bitches" who should be fired for disrespecting the country.

"He's basically making a very simple request that when the National Anthem is played at a sporting event, people stand, and people respect that and I know everybody saying but nobody need, nobody - they're obviously are some hurt feelings over the new policy".
