French President Emmanuel Macron told a joint session of the U.S. Congress on Wednesday that France will not leave the Irannuclear deal and urged Washington to remain committed to the agreement.
Russia, China, Germany, Britain and France, who all signed the accord with Iran and the United States, are determined to save the deal, seeing it as the best way to stop Iran developing a nuclear bomb.

In his speech, Macron advocated multilateralism, which his USA counterpart Donald Trump has not been quite a fan.
"We can build the 21st century world order based on a new breed of multilateralism, based on a more effective, accountable, and result-oriented multilateralism", Macron said, defending the rules-based world order.
Trump has described the 2015 accord, under which Iran agreed to curb its nuclear activities in return for the lifting of economic sanctions, as the worst deal ever negotiated and has threatened to wreck it by reimposing United States penalties next month unless the three European allies agree to fix its "flaws".
On the Iran deal, which Trump has threatened to pull out of, Macron expressed optimism that the U.S. and France can work together to forge a more comprehensive deal that's more acceptable to President Trump.
"That's my bet", Macron told a small group of American journalists.
Macron had come to Washington in part to plead for a more comprehensive "new agreement" that would address what he and Trump believe to be shortcomings of the existing accord.
Macron strongly supports both pacts.
