Comey says Trump "morally unfit" to be president

Trump renews blasting Comey 'lies' amid interview, book release Trump attacks ex-FBI director Comey in early morning tweetstorm

The wide-ranging interview with ABC News also came ahead of Tuesday's release of Comey's memoir, A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies and Leadership, in which he details his interactions with the Republican president.

Former FBI Director James Comey says he thinks it's possible the Russians have compromising information on President Donald Trump, that there is "some evidence of obstruction of justice" in the president's actions and that Trump is "morally unfit" for office.

During the interview, Comey repeated his assertion, made at a Congressional hearing that Trump told him that he expected loyalty and pressured him to drop an investigation into Michael Flynn. The memo criticized Comey for his handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation - specifically for his July 2016 press conference at which he announced the findings of the FBI investigation, and his October 28, 2016, letter to Congress stating that the investigation had been reopened due to the discovery of additional emails.

The former Federal Bureau of Investigation director said, however, he'd still be working for the government had he not been removed.

"He had impressively coiffed hair, his tie was too long as it always is, he looked slightly orange up close with small white half-moons under his eyes, which I assume are from tanning goggles", he said.

"I've never seen him laugh".

"It is wrong to stand idly by, or worse, to stay silent when you know better, while a president brazenly seeks to undermine public confidence in law enforcement institutions that were established to keep our leaders in check", Comey wrote. I don't remember spelling it out, but it had to have been.

Ant's driving ban could be reduced to 15 months, provided he completes a referral programme by the middle of May next year. His Mini was involved in a crash with two other cars in London last month while he was more than twice the legal limit.

Yet Comey said he hopes Trump will not be impeached and removed from office. White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders later said Comey would "be forever known as a disgraced partisan hack that broke his sacred trust with the president of the United States". That brings us to the different ways Trump's critics and defenders are talking about Comey right now. And I was devastated when she lost, ' she added.

"This guy swung an election", Conway said on ABC's Good Morning America, seeming to suggest that Comey had contributed to Trump's victory - a theory unlikely to find favor with the president.

There's a revealing moment in Comey's interview with ABC's George Stephanopoulos when he doesn't go all in on anti-Trump hysteria. He said, like others, he expected Clinton would win throughout the general election, saying he was seeing the same polling data that led many political experts to predict she would be the 45th president.

Former FBI Director James Comey says our president must be truthful - and Comey contends he is not able to do that.

Clinton had strong feelings about the timing of Comey's announcement and has publicly assigned him blame for her election loss. The wide-ranging conversation included allegations of Mr. Trump and Russian prostitutes to Comey giving his personal take on Mr. Trump as president. "He was very emotional and said he had seen the news and that he meant to resign because he wouldn't work for people who would treat someone like me in such a dishonorable way and that he was gonna quit". "So what kind of marriage to what kind of man does your wife think there's only a 99 percent chance you didn't do that?" said Comey.

In it, Comey wrote that Trump, in a private meeting, pressed the then-FBI director for his loyalty.
