March for Science returns to Raleigh with message for Trump

In Washington, DC, more than 500 people donned white lab coats and carried signs that said, "Science not Silence" and "Make America Smart Again" a play on Trump's slogan "Make America Great Again".

Although the turnout for today's marches was smaller than last year's, the March for Science movement nevertheless has galvanized the scientific community to organize and speak up. Marching in Cologne, science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar chanted, "Fight fear with the facts".

Among the marchers for science in Zagreb were also GLAS party leader Anka Mrak Taritaš and Social Democratic Party leader Davor Bernardić. "Bookshops and libraries have been closed or turned into fast food restaurants", she said. "With the current administration I just wanted to be around like-minded people. and support the causes I align with". "Science is for everyone".
