Fiji had it well in hand when Ambaka went flying down the left wing apparently set to give Kenya a final try only for Tuwai to wrap him up.

Series leaders South Africa beat the United States 29-7 to win the bronze medal and England beat Australia 31-14 to take fifth. "All the teams now are very hard to play against, not like before". Samuel Oliech added the conversion for Kenya's 7-0 lead.Fiji responded nearly instantly through Josua Vakurunabili's try and Vatemo Ravouvou conversion to even the proceedings. Alasio Naduva and Paula Dranisinukula also scored after the break.

In the final, Kenya started off well with Willy Ambaka creating time and space to surge over the line for a try.

Kenya hit the lead again with a try to Samuel Oliech, who fended one defender and side-stepped another.

Earlier, Kenya had beaten United States 24-19 in the semi finals thanks to a last minute try from Ouma.

However, they could not replicate the same performance they had against Fiji last weekend in Las Vegas, as they went down by a slim 24-21 margin, but they had nonetheless ensured a quarters slot.

NCAA Men's Tournament Selection Sunday: What to Watch
The Big 12 thought the league would get nine teams in as well but wound up with seven with Baylor among the first four teams out. West Virginia tied for second in the Big 12 and is one of only two teams to beat ACC champion Virginia in the regular season.

Kenya found themselves at the back foot when Perry Baker scored two quick tries to give USA, who has just won USA Sevens, a 14-0 lead.

That carried Fiji to its 33rd victory in 67 appearances in World Series finals.

South Africa responded with two tries from Siviwe Soyizwapi and tries from Cecil Afrika and Dylan Sage - Sage scoring well after the siren to extinguish Australian hopes.

The team that is coached by former skipper Innocent "Namcos" Simiyu will meet New Zealand Sevens champions Fiji in the final at 4.10am on Sunday.

The next tournament beings in Hong Kong on April 6.
