Jason Aaron and Ed McGuinness Relaunch “Avengers” With #1 in May

Marvel has, in fact, been undergoing yearly relaunches since 2012, when the conclusion of its successful Avengers vs. X-Men series led directly into Marvel NOW! - yes, the all-upper case "NOW" and exclamation point were intentional - which was described at the time by then-editor-in-chief Axel Alonso as "a new beginning" for the publisher.
Yesterday we brought you a look at Marvel's Avengers #1, and now we have a first look sneak peek at another relaunching title in Venom #1 from the creative team of Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman. According to chief creative officer, Joe Quesada, the upcoming books are not only bringing "fresh new ideas", but are also flawless entry points for both old and new readers.
A brand new Avengers volume, of course, scaling the group back to just a single team and reuniting the Avengers Trinity, if you will - Captain America, Iron Man and Thor - for the first time in years. Specifically, the portions set in the past will focus on the Avengers of 1,000,000 B.C. introduced in Marvel Legacy #1. Avengers #1 is part of the "fresh start" that Marvel teased this week, and it will come our way in May from the team of writer Jason Aaron and artist Ed McGuinness.
