A first-round draft pick in 2000, Janikowski played in a franchise record 268 games (passing Tim Brown's 240) and holds the National Football League record with 55 field goals of 50 or more yards. Oakland selected Janikowski out of Florida State with the 17th overall pick in the 2000 NFL Draft. But, it looks like the Raiders have chose to move on in 2018.

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Raiders told Janikowski he won't return to the team next season. Janikowski can still kick, but he's turning 40 and needs to prove he can stay healthy. It was the fourth player Gruden brought in through the draft during his time with the Raiders. He was also a two-time Lou Groza Award victor and consensus All-American in 1998 and 1999. The 39-year-old will become a free agent this offseason.

Thomas Cook resumed holiday sales to United Kingdom customers in August, with trips beginning today. Until previous year it had advised against all but essential travel to the country.

Last season, Janikowski agreed to take a million-dollar pay cut and then dealt with a back issue which cost him the entire season.

One of the most controversial draft picks of late owner Al Davis, Janikowski was the No. 17 overall selection after being a two-time Lou Groza award victor at Florida State as the best kicker in college football. He played in a franchise-record 268 games in 18 seasons. He hit 16 of 21 field goals with a long of 53 yards and made all but one of his extra points.
