"Told them to re-do and send back in proper form!"
The White Housesaid on Friday Mr Trump could not declassify the memo because of "sensitive passages" that create "concerns for national security".
President Donald Trump accused House Intelligence Committee Democrats Saturday with crafting their rebuttal memo about FBI and Justice Department officials' actions early in the Russian Federation election meddling investigation in a way that would back his White House into a corner. "As expressed during our initial review, we have grave concerns about material omissions of fact that fundamentally impact the memo's accuracy".
Republicans contend that senior law enforcement officials were - and still are - biased against Trump, something the president also says frequently.
On Friday, Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, accused the President of holding double standards in approving the release of the Republican memo but blocking the Democratic one.
In another tweet, Trump quoted a report by The New York Times, a newspaper who otherwise disparages as "fake news", that United States spies ended up paying $100,000 to a "shadowy Russian" who promised, among other things, to deliver "compromising material" on Trump.
"The President doesn't want you to see these facts from the FISA application because it completely undermines his claim of vindication", Schiff said.
Cortney also added that "The Democratic version is six pages longer and, according to its authors, contains important context their Republican colleagues omitted".
Kim Yo Jong writes message
In a tweet, he reasserted the sceptical view taken his administration regarding recent conciliatory gestures by North Korea. The invitation was extended by Kim's younger sister Kim Yo Jong , a last-minute addition to the Olympic delegation.
He described the Democratic memo as "not as clean as the first one", suggesting that the White House could release it with redactions.
"Unlike the Republicans, we gave the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Justice our memo even before we took it up into committee, and invited their feedback as to any concerns over sources and methods", Schiff said.
The president was given five days to oppose the release of the Democratic memo, after the House Intelligence Committee voted to release it earlier this week.
Democrats said that memo mischaracterised sensitive information and was meant to discredit Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation of potential collusion between Mr Trump's 2016 campaign and Russian Federation. So they wish to send this memo back to the committee. Schiff said his memo "will help inform the public of the many distortions and inaccuracies" in the GOP memo.
Democrats argued that the memo cherry-picked information and was misleading. The Republicans on the committee blocked the Democrats' memo from being released simultaneously. The Schiff memo is a 10-page document that responds to the Nunes memo, which alleges that the FBI abused its powers when it opened its investigation into Russia's meddling with the 2016 election.
