Paige's WWE in-ring career is over

Report: Paige's WWE in-ring career is over WWE News: Paige will never wrestle again after serious injury – reports
Nicole Thomas | 13 January, 2018, 05:29

According to PWInsider.com, the injury has resulted in WWE officials informing Paige that her in-ring career is finished and she will not be cleared to return to the ring, as her neck issues are now similar to those of Edge, who was also forced to retire early.

This could cap off a rollercoaster career for Paige in WWE, which has involved championship wins, drug suspensions, surgeries, returns and controversies aplenty. She finally told WWE because she was starting to make mistakes in the ring and she didn't want to become a danger to others. The Divas division, which has since been rebranded as the Women's division, was hardly getting any time to perform on WWE programming such as Raw and Smackdown when Paige made her main roster debut.

PW Insider reports Paige had suffered a "stinger" which caused her to lose feeling in her extremities. The referee called for the bell when she wouldn't get back up.

The injury she suffered recently was very serious because Sasha Banks kicked her from behind.

Celine Dion shows unbelievable grace as fan humps her leg
Tickets are priced at P35,380, P32,210, P19,540, P16,370, P7,920 and P2,640, and will be available to the public on January 18. Dion is yet to announce any further dates, but her touring schedule is empty following her show in Bangkok on July 23.

Paige will have to be written off of the 2018 Royal Rumble.

Paige was scheduled to compete in the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble at the January 28, but it is expected that she will be replaced. It's believed that she will transition to a non-physical role for the company going forward. She would wake up in a lot of pain, but tried to hide the injury from WWE so that she could still wrestle. She was featured on reality series Total Divas, so that's a possible vehicle for her, as are WWE Studios feature films. The film itself is based on a documentary.

Paige's blossoming WWE career may be over following an injury the superstar suffered on December 28 during a live event match in Uniondale, New York. Obviously, that will continue as well.
