Big moves over at Fox as the X-Men spin-off movie Gambit lost yet another director with Pirates of the Caribbean filmmaker Gore Verbinski due to "scheduling issues".

According to a report by Entertainment Weekly, 20 Century Fox has made a decision to push back 'New Mutants' to 22 February 2019 instead of 12 April 2018.

Fox has moved the release of Ryan Reynolds' "Deadpool 2" forward by two weeks to May 18, when it will open a week ahead of Disney-Lucasfilm's "Solo: A Star Wars Story". Bit of a gut-punch to those who were particularly eager to see that intriguing new entry, starring series newcomers Anya Taylor-Joy, Maisie Williams and Charlie Heaton.

However, one of the film's producers Lauren Shuler Donner said Miller would not be replaced. Of course, Verbinski is just the latest director to leave the project stranded, following Rupert Wyatt and Doug Liman in 2015 and 2016, respectively, so this doesn't necessarily reflect that poorly on him.

ISRO's journey from Aryabhata to its 100th Indian satellite
ISRO is helping not just India but several other countries in putting communication, navigation and other satellites into orbit. The opening mission of 2018 was considered crucial for ISRO as the previous PSLV launch had been a setback to scientists.

Fans of the franchise can be forgiven for finding these developments a little troubling.

We know that's a ways off - 18 months at least, according to Disney (or more depending on government regulators) - but we can't help but speculate as to what the cast of a MCU X-Men film would look like.

Now the bad news. Star Channing Tatum is still very much committed, and the studio wants to release the movie, but with Fox now needing to search for a new director which will likely involve even more pre-production changes, it only adds turmoil to what is already a seemingly plagued production. He just might be able to pull this off, and he's also been looking to get behind the camera, developing potential directorial debuts such as Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock and The Son.
