Theresa May's Cabinet reshuffle was created to make her government more representative of the country.

Toby Young has resigned from his universities watchdog role apologising for the offence his social media posts and writings have caused over the years, just two days after the Prime Minister defended his controversial appointment to the role.

Mrs May said: "This Government is about building a country fit for the future - one that truly works for everyone with a stronger economy and a fairer society.

It also allows a new generation of gifted Ministers to step up and make life better for people across the whole United Kingdom", the PM added.

Those questions only increased after May's performance at the Conservative Party's annual conference in October and the subsequent resignation of three Cabinet ministers.

And Jeremy Hunt refused to be moved from Health Secretary to a Business role, talking the Prime Minister into giving him another chance to stay on as Health Secretary with an added social care role.

The Fareham MP was elected in 2015 and is the daughter of immigrants from Kenya and Mauritius.

Last month, an investigation found Mr Garnier did not breach ministerial code over allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards a female member of staff, including asking her to buy a sex toy.

However, according to The Daily Telegraph, Brexiteer MPs were "dumbfounded" by Mrs May's decision to not go ahead with the role.

As well as reshuffling her Cabinet, it is thought Mrs May could appoint a "minister for no deal" specifically to prepare for the eventuality that the United Kingdom leaves the European Union without an agreement.

Uber uses 'panic button' to shield files during police raids
Uber said this software is necessary to protect company data, along with the privacy of passengers, drivers and Uber employees. Uber said the system - named Ripley, after the flame throwing hero in the Alien movies - was there to protect customer data.

Philip Davies MP said: "It certainly does not do anyone any favours to promote people who are not ready for promotion just due to their gender or race".

Asked about the findings this afternoon, a spokesperson for the prime minister said that "it's important the government reflects the country it serves". "You can look forward to seeing some good fresh talent coming through and also a really good diverse government being put in place across all departments".

Theresa May also appointed Maria Caulfield, who opposed legislation to decriminalise abortion, as the Tory vice chair for women.

There were no shock departures during the reshuffle, however, with Boris Johnson, Philip Hammond and David Davis all keeping their jobs.

Andrea Leadsom remains Leader of the House of Commons, despite widespread speculation that Mrs May could demote her.

Justine Greening has quit her job as United Kingdom education secretary after Prime Minister Theresa May tried to move her to another department in her latest reshuffle.

After Greening's refusal of the role as pensions secretary, May was forced to turn to Esther McVey, a vocal supporter of Brexit, to fill the job. Nicholas Soames tweeted: "I don't mean to be rude or to be seen to be disloyal but there needs to be a major improvement to the Reshuffle tomorrow #doitwell".

He was replaced by Brandon Lewis, albeit amid farcical scenes which saw the Tories' official Twitter account incorrectly announce that the job had gone to Chris Grayling.

But analysis of the Cabinet by social mobility campaigners the Sutton Trust revealed that the proportion of those who went to private school has risen from 30% to 34%, while the proportion who went to comprehensives fell from 44% to 41%.
