Gerwig, who acted in Allen's 2012 film, To Rome with Love, was asked if she regretted having worked with Allen in light of heightened concerns in Hollywood and elsewhere over sexual harassment and abuse.

Pompeo shared her story involving director James Toback, who was has at least 38 women accusing him of sexual assault, saying he was upset when she brought a male friend to a public event and then waited until she was alone until asking if she would appear naked in his film. "They are beneath real men".

"That is an admirable and worthwhile objective, I hope these women change the world". Farrow's brother Ronan has criticized supporters in the past, too. "We can no longer let these men represent us in entertainment, politics, or any other realm".

Perhaps Justin Timberlake can find solace in the fact that he's not the only actor accused of tone-deafness.

Director Greta Gerwig, fresh off a Golden Globe victory for her film, Lady Bird, didn't have anything definitive to say about her work with controversial director Woody Allen.

Judge dismisses charges against Cliven Bundy, 2 sons
Mr Bundy's sons, Ammon and Ryan Bundy, also led a 41-day standoff with federal officials at an OR wildlife preserve two years ago. The Bundys argued that the government lacked the constitutional authority to control the land where his cattle fed.

"I struggle to understand how a woman who believes Woody Allen is "empowering to women" can claim the role as an advocate for women suffering from sexual harassment", she told BuzzFeed.

Globes watchers lambasted the singer for his "performative" wearing of the Time's Up pin, and called him out for wearing it while still promoting his work with Allen.

More recently Dylan chastised Blake Lively for hypocrisy after the actress tweeted her support of the Time's Up movement.

Those accusations died down after the custody battle ended, but were revived after the Golden Globes honored Allen with the Cecil B. DeMille Award in 2014.

Both Pompeo and Allen have weighed in on the #MeToo movement that sprung up after Harvey Weinstein was first accused of sexual misconduct and assault, of course on different sides.
