Mumbai: A daring heist has been uncovered where a group of burglars dug a 25-foot-long tunnel from within a shop they had rented in May into the locker room of the Bank of Baroda's Juinagar branch, decamping with loot worth crores. The bank officials and customers at the Navi Mumbai branch were in for a shock when they discovered their empty lockers on Monday morning.
Meanwhile, cops have already found the name of the person - Gena Prasad - who had rented the shop next to the bank. They dug an underground tunnel from the shop.
Tushar Doshi, deputy commissioner of police (crime), said, "It is impossible to dig a tunnel that ends exactly under the locker room without having an idea about the bank's structure".
The bank has closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, but none inside the locker room.

The police have formed 10 teams and have sent their officers to different places looking for the criminals. The incident came to light when a customer and a bank officer entered found that 27 lockers had been broken into.
