Matthews was asked on Twitter if he would continue to remain in the locker room during the anthem if the National Football League created a rule requiring players to stand or face a penalty.

For the Titans' last two games, Matthews has remained in the locker room during the anthem before running onto the field immediately after. Matthews was not available Thursday after practice before the locker room closed to reporters.

Matthews, a sixth-year pro out of Nevada, deleted his tweet response to Parker, but not before the news producer saved it for the whole world to see.

Royal Mail wins High Court injunction preventing planned strike action
Royal Mail has won a High Court injunction preventing next week's 48-hour strike by postal workers. The hearing at the High Court in London was scheduled to start at 10:30 am this morning.

Since President Trump's September 23 criticism of NFL players' national anthem protests, Matthews has vowed to continue kneeling until the President apologizes.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a memo Tuesday he believes players should stand when the song plays. Owners are expected to discuss the issue next week.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Rishard Matthews runs a drill during the team's organized team activity at its NFL football training facility Tuesday, June 6, 2017, in Nashville, Tenn. Should be really interesting to if he ends up following through on his threat or not. The protests started after former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick started kneeling to protest police mistreatment of African Americans. "I fully stand with my brother Kap, and I plan to continue to do that". It's your right to stand or sit down. This is the kind of thing you would expect to find in totalitarian nations, but not in a free state.
