House prices in London are falling while they continue to rise elsewhere across the UK

Nationwide said that prices in the capital had fallen by 0.6 per cent in the year to September while overall prices rose by 2 per, down from 2.1 per cent in August and the weakest pace of growth since June 2013.
He added that "the upward momentum in house price growth across regional cities shows no sign of slowing".
He said: 'Housing market activity, as measured by the number of housing transactions and mortgage approvals, has strengthened a little in recent months, though remains relatively subdued by historic standards.
'The lack of homes on the market is providing ongoing support to prices. "There are optimistic signs that the resilient London market will catch up to the rest of the United Kingdom in the coming months".
