70 health care groups urge Congress to take action on DACA

Steve King blasts Trump on immigration in series of tweets 70 health care groups urge Congress to take action on DACA

Republicans and Democrats aren't the only ones divided over what to do about the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program for undocumented immigrants known as Dreamers.

Though Obama's words are easy on the ears to the point they lull the naive to sleep, those who are "woke" understand that even in his retirement, Obama's words continue to fan the flame of ignorance while his policies continue to divide and damage America.

"With the nation's population growing and becoming increasingly diverse, it is crucial that the health professions workforce respond to the changing demographics of the country to mitigate racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic health disparities", they wrote.

Trump made his intentions clear September 5 when he said, "I have a great heart for the folks we are talking about, a great love for them. hopefully now Congress will help them and do it properly". Might it be immoral to offer false hope to DREAMers and potentially the thousands of undocumented kids from El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala who flooded our borders reportedly to escape violence after DACA was publicized?

President Trump must call upon Congress to build a big, beautiful, humane border wall with Mexico, a state whose government has gone so far as to publish pamphlets on how their ever-so-economically valuable citizens can infiltrate the US without detection.

Other lawsuits have been filed by California and three other states and by the University of California in federal court in San Francisco in the past week.

DACA recipients who have permits that expire before March 5 must file a renewal application by October 5.

U.S. District Judge Nicholas Garaufis, citing new tweets by Trump praising the so-called "dreamers" protected by the program, told a Justice Department lawyer he might intervene if the government doesn't extend an October 5 deadline for more than 150,000 of the 800,000 beneficiaries to reapply before the program expires. DACA recipients suffer under the stresses of not knowing their legal homes.

Daniil Kvyat did improve on his second run, but only by enough to take 13th ahead of the second Force India of Esteban Ocon. I will accept a little bit of defeat but I'm still confident we will get victory .

Young says that "most people are very good about renewing" and that "it's probably more likely people have left the state for one reason or another". It puts people off guard and allows him to seize the advantage to achieve his ends. DACA recipients pay taxes, even toward benefits for which they themselves are not eligible.

Her husband thinks about it often, though.

"It's opened up a whole world for me", he said. "You don't worry about anything". Whatever happens. It is scary, if the day comes, that I do have to leave.

McCluskey said that a year ago, he would have predicted the Dream Act or something like it probably passing in Congress, but in the current political environment, "I have no idea".

"My kids don't speak Spanish", she said. But as the old saying goes: "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade".

SIMON: Do you have a concern that President Trump might use his position on DACA, as it's evolving, as what amounts to a bargaining chip to get what he's wanted all along, which is to at least begin to build a wall. But make no mistake, our families will not be used as bargaining chips to compromise our safety for funding for Trump's border wall, more enforcement in the border region or increased bed capacity for the inhumane immigrant detention centers.

McElaney-Johnson said the mood on campus is mixed among DACA students who feel stressed for themselves and their families but who also have "a certain resolve to do everything they can to stand up for their rights". Coming to the USA was the only way they would stay healthy, so his parents successfully applied to study there.
