Nigeria's Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has been the acting president since Buhari left the country.

The statement by Adesina said Buhari expressed the desire to come back to Nigeria when he received the presidential media team, and the Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Matters, at Abuja House, London.

Opposition figures and recently some Christian clerics have called on him to resign if he is too weak to continue in the saddle. On Monday, a daily sit-out of dozens of activists calling on him to return home or resign began in the capital city Abuja.

Buhari, who spoke 96 days after he commenced the latest round of his medical vacation overseas, yesterday, was quoted as saying: "I have learnt to obey my doctors' orders rather than being the one issuing the orders".

Liu was an author of Charter 08, a document calling for democracy in China, and Beijing aimed to smother that intellectual legacy. It didn't specify what actions may be taken, and Tencent, Baidu and Weibo had no immediate comment on the notice.

The health of Nigeria's leaders has been a sensitive issue since the death in office of president Umaru Musa Yar'Adua in 2010 after months of treatment overseas. "Here, the doctor is absolutely in charge" the statement quoted him as saying. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Matters also went with members of the team.

President Muhammadu Buhari says he believes he is strong enough to return to the country, but his doctors will be the one to determine when he returns.

In company of the Lai Mohammed-led team were Mr Femi Adesina, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity; Mallam Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, and Lauretta Onochie, Personal Assistant on Digital/Online Media. "I have now learnt to obey orders, rather than be obeyed", the president reportedly said. It gave us a lot of latitudes.

"Sequel to the recent and unfortunate unfolding political happenings in Nigeria, with the central issue of the news peddled on the medical vacation of the President Muhammadu Buhari, an act which is maliciously and mischievously being promoted by some unpatriotic and unguided people, who do not appreciate the collective responsibility of preserving the integrity of the Nigerian state". "May God reward them", he said in reply to the information that he was being prayed for across the continent.
