Liverpool are in a pickle over Philippe Coutinho as Barcelona ramp up the pressure on the Anfield club as they try to lure the player to Spain. Jurgen Klopp believes he is an important part of the team, and the Liverpool brass are not letting him go without a fight. Liverpool rejected it immediately and reiterated their stance: he's not for sale at any price.

Liverpool have not agreed a £109 transfer fee with Barcelona over Philippe Coutinho despite reports claiming otherwise.

"As much as the club won't want him to go, and he's under contract, I think ultimately if the big players want to go, they end up getting their way".

Liverpool have agreed a five-year deal with the global money transfer company, worth an estimated £5m a season.

Philippe Coutinho will find it hard to turn down Barcelona and Liverpool will struggle to find a replacement, says Graeme Souness.

Coutinho is attracted by a move to Barcelona but will not force through a transfer because he would prefer an amicable exit from Liverpool.

Reserve Bank Governor Graeme Wheeler was both positive and defiant during the final press conference of his five-year term. The kiwi has climbed more than 7 percent against the greenback since the RBNZ's last set of forecasts on May 11.

Money is not an issue for Barca anymore as they received €222m from Paris Saint-Germain in the deal that sent Neymar to Paris last week.

'Today, no player on the planet is unsellable.

But Klopp stressed the midfielder was merely suffering from a minor back injury which is also expected to rule him out of Saturday's Premier League opener at Watford. We're not a selling club so they're gonna do everything in their power for him to stay.

"It's about whether you can react and whether you must react and if you must react, do you have enough time to react and such things".

But he was named in Liverpool's Champions League squad for the qualifier against Hoffenheim, of which the first leg is in Germany on Tuesday.
