In a recent court ruling in Dallas, Texas, local wedding photographer Andrea Polito was recently awarded $1.08 million as a result of a defamation lawsuit she launched against formal bridal clients Neely and Andrew Moldovan, the result of a years-long online campaign to destroy the photographer's reputation.

Weeks after the wedding the Moldovans began inquiring when their images would arrive, and Polito's company reminded them they were required to pick a cover image for their album so that it may be completed, Dallas News reported.

Come Friday, a local jury found that Andrew and Neely Moldovanm a newly married husband and wife tried to destroy photographer Polito's business, according to the civil suit which was filed in March 2015.

In the lawsuit, Polito said the couple repeatedly asked for photos despite a stipulation that required customers to submit an order form for their wedding album.

After an enormous online backlash against Polito, the photographer published an open letter explaining her side of the story.

A follow-up news report detailed Polito's minimum cost for an album cover was actually $125 and was listed in the original contract. I've shot several of the Dallas elites.

In a Facebook conversation, Moldovan who now blogs at "It Starts With Coffee" said she was "pretty sure [Polito's] business is done", the suit states. "If this story were truly based how upset and hurt she was, she would not post statements to humiliate me or harm my business". She said she was forced to close her business and give up her dream job after the dispute between the clients went viral.

The couple's television interview aired in January 2015, during Polito's booking season.

Last Friday, a jury awarded Polito $1.08 million, finding that the couple "wrongfully attacked" Polito and that their public campaign against the photographer was "false and malicious". According to WFAA, the Moldovans claimed Polito was demanding "unreasonable fees"-despite it being included in the contract they signed".

"Proud to say that after a week long, hard fought trial, the jury returned a verdict of over $1 Million, including punitives, for Andrea Polito, who was defamed by two bad, shameful people", Polito's attorney, Dave Wishnew, writes.

"The jury agreed and made a statement that publicly lying, shaming, and online bullying is unacceptable".

Polito, who told CBS she hasn't picked up a camera to photograph a wedding in two years, is ready to rebuild her business.
