We start to warm up for Thursday as highs return to the mid-80s with sunny skies. Winds gusting up to 25 miles per hour.

Tuesday, it will be sunny with a high near 82, and a south southeast wind of 3 to 8 miles per hour, the weather service said.

On Sunday, the Triangle had a high of 84 after a morning low of 69; and Fayetteville had a high of 91 after a morning low of 74.

Sunday: Partly cloudy with a slight chance of thunderstorms. Under partly cloudy skies, temperatures fall through the 70s to the 60s this evening. However, a front will slowly move through bringing a good chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms Saturday afternoon into Saturday night.
