Undercover Video Shows CNN Producer Admitting Russia Narrative is 'Mostly Bullsh

CNN said in a statement that the article did not meet the network's editorial standards.

Pro-Trump media have pounced on a days-long embarrassment for the cable channel CNN that involved the retraction of a story and the resignation of three people involved in the story's publication.

On Monday, Frank turned in his resignation to CNN, as did editor Eric Lichtblau and unit head Lex Haris.

Trump has a history of attacking media outlets he deems "fake news", with CNN being one of his most common targets.

CNN executives, from CNN Worldwide President Jeff Zucker on down, believe they can not get stories wrong given Trump's willingness to attack the network. Like all major news organisations, CNN is under pressure to produce scoops that draw ratings and Web traffic, and to stay competitive with the likes of the New York Times and The Washington Post, which have been leaders on the Trump-Russia story. Bonifield notes that at a staff meeting, CNN's CEO congratulated his reporters for their coverage of the Paris accords, but then said "let's get back to Russian Federation".

Trump tweeted that "they caught Fake News CNN cold".

Joe Concha discussed CNN's reporting on "Tucker Carlson Tonight" after the company had to correct two stories related to the the current investigation into Russian Federation meddling during the presidential campaign. He tweeted, "CNN did the right thing".

Modi meets Trump with his usual greeting _ bear hugs
These energy contracts "are being negotiated and we will sign - trying to get the price up a little bit", Trump said . India and the USA also urged Pakistan to ensure that its territory is not used to launch cross-border terror strikes.

In the video released by Real Clear Politics, Bonifield said CNN and other media organizations operate as businesses.

Trump has been unhappy with CNN since he was a candidate a year ago, and hasn't granted the network an interview since he's been president.

President Donald Trump also accused the BBC, New York Times, NBC, CBS and ABC of being fake news media houses.

The story Trump spoke of was posted on the network's website Thursday and was removed, with all links disabled, Friday night. Frank was an on-air reporter for "CNN Investigates" and a longtime newspaper writer, per Variety.

Trump's young administration has been consumed by allegations - under investigation both by Congress and the FBI, and furiously denied by the Republican president - that members of his campaign team colluded with a Russian effort to tip the electoral scales in his favor.

This week turned out to be a big victory week for the US President Donald Trump and his administration which remained dogged by allegations of colluding with Russian Federation since the first day of the Presidency. Whether it's accurate or not I don't know, but I would encourage everybody in this room and, frankly, everybody across the country to take a look at it.

"To report not on facts, but instead on narratives that yield high ratings, is exactly the definition of fake news", said James O'Keefe, Project Veritas founder. The network also issued an apology to Scaramucci.
