Bill Cosby arrives for his sexual assault trial at the Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown, Pa., Wednesday, June 7, 2017.

McMonagle did not deny that Cosby slept with Constand but argued that the relationship was consensual.

This article was originally published at 9:25 a.m. They'll resume talks Wednesday morning.

Constand is one of dozens of women who have accused Cosby of sex abuse, often after plying them with drugs, in a series of incidents dating to the 1960s. He says their encounter was consensual.

But they did not come up with a verdict after a long day in the jury room in Norristown, Pennsylvania. The jury consists of seven men and five women.

Ms Constand testified she was mistaken, and prosecutors called a psychologist who testified that victims of sexual violence sometimes have trouble remembering details and engage in seemingly irrational behaviour in response to the trauma. "And I went upstairs and I went into my pack and I broke one whole one and brought a half down and told her to take it".

Mason testified that Constand said she'd waited about a year to come forward because she felt embarrassed and was daunted by Cosby's standing at his alma mater, Temple University, where she worked for the basketball program.

Cosby's lawyers say Constand's initial report was inconsistent with her later statements.

The verdict was to be called on Tuesday, but the fate of famed USA comedian, Bill Cosby, will have to wait till at least Wednesday, June 14, in the criminal case against him involving alleged sexual assault of a woman in 2004. "And the true test of family, of friendship, of loyalty comes - it's easy to be there when things are good, when business is good, when money is good, when all of these things, but I wanted to do what I would have wanted to receive".

Constand said on the witness stand she didn't know Jackson. Huth's lawyer, Gloria Allred, says the scheduling of a second deposition is on hold because of the criminal trial.

Since starting their deliberations, the jurors have re-examined both Cosby's and Ms Constand's versions of the night in question, with particular focus on the pills he gave her before the sexual encounter began.

Cosby faces three felony counts of aggravated indecent assault. They also requested further definition of the third count, which pertains to whether Cosby gave Constand a substance "without [her] knowledge" for the objective of "preventing resistance".

Some jurors closed their eyes and tilted their heads down as a court reporter reread Cosby's January 2005 interview.

Believe me, the Trump supporters are going insane with this, and they should, because the story apparently was incorrect. He previously worked at the New York Times , where he won a Pulitzer Prize for national reporting in 2006.

The defense's case followed a riveting week from the prosecution which saw Ms. Constand take the stand. She also said she was at Cosby's home following a dinner with friends and Cosby.

Constand, under the influence of the drugs and who briefly lost consciousness, could not and did not give consent, he said.

"They are looking for chinks in her (Constand's) armour", MacGregor said.

The jury has been weighing Cosby's fate for more than 24 hours over three days.

Besides asking for evidence, the jurors also sought clarification from the judge about a nuance of the charges against the 79-year-old comic legend. Later he describes a odd configuration where he is pleading with her to go to sleep: "I sit between her torso and her thighs".

Cosby spokesman Andrew Wyatt has been a central part of the show outside the courthouse.

Marguerite Jackson's testimony in the Bill Cosby sexual assault trial might have changed the course of history, but the jury will never hear it.

Last week, Pulliam gave a similar statement to ET, again making it clear that she doesn't "condone or support sexual assault".

Sequestered, they are now entering their third day of deliberations.

Jurors in the Cosby case continued to deliberate, nearing a total of 15 hours including a four-hour stint Monday, with only intermittent signs of progress.

The case has sparked debate over celebrity, race, power and gender.

Prosecutors have portrayed Cosby as a serial predator.

"A 30-year consecutive sentence would be a life sentence", she said.
