Turkish President criticizes Arab demands against Quatar

Tillerson had previously insisted any demands be Tillerson had previously insisted any demands be"reasonable and actionable

The Saudi-Emirati-led bloc of countries has reportedly given Qatar 10 days to comply with 13 demands to end the crisis, insisting, among others, that Doha shut down Al Jazeera, close a Turkish military base and scale down ties with Iran.

While the Qatari Foreign Ministry has yet to issue an official reply, the director of the government's communications office, Sheikh Saif Al-Thani, called the Gulf States' demands "unrealistic" and said they were aimed at limiting Qatar's sovereignty.

Heritage Foundation Director of Foreign Policy, Luke Coffey says, "I think numerous countries in the region were looking for strong United States leadership and I think President Trump, the message he sent [while visiting Saudi Arabia] delivered that".

"While some of the elements will be very hard for Qatar to meet, there are significant areas which provide a basis for ongoing dialogue leading to resolution". Its ally Turkey joined in, with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan saying on Sunday that the ultimatum was "against worldwide law".

On Sunday, Tillerson said that while some elements of the series of requests made by the four countries would be "very hard for Qatar to meet", "there are significant areas which provide a basis for ongoing dialogue leading to resolution". Since early June, Qatar's Persian Gulf neighbors have blockaded the tiny country, accusing it of cozying up to Iran and coddling extremists.

Tillerson also urged all sides to "lower" their rhetoric to ease tensions, and said that the U.S. would stay in "close contact" with all parties and support Kuwait in its mediation efforts.

But, before the match could begin, Ambrose hit the ring, and during the commercial break, he and LaVar continued the segment. WWE obviously has to say as much, but it would be interesting to get their real take on the matter.

"Some of them will be hard for Qatar to incorporate and to try to adhere to", Nauert stated. On the other hand, if Iran and Turkey are drawn into the mix, West Asia could become more unstable.

Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday denounced the list of demands, rejecting their request to close its military base in Qatar.

United States Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will meet with his Qatari counterpart Tuesday, three weeks after the start of a Saudi, Emirati, Bahrani and Egyptian-backed boycott on the small, gas-rich USA ally. President Donald Trump visited Saudi Arabia last month on his first overseas trip as president and announced a $110 billion deal to sell arms to the Saudis.

Doha received a 13-point list from Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Bahrain that included demands to shut down the media network Al-Jazeera and cut ties with Islamist groups including the Muslim Brotherhood.

Doha strenuously denies accusations it supports terrorism, and described as "unjustified" the moves to isolate it.

"The siege of Qatar is unacceptable to us.The airspace, land, and sea of our country will always be open to Qatar as a brotherly and neighboring country", Rohani said.
